Jan has more than 18 years of experience coaching, pastoring and leading men of various backgrounds to become more like Christ.
He comes from a traditional and religious background where having a personal relationship with God was non existent and the idea of knowing God as a father was unfamiliar to him. He was a man who lacked identity and struggled with rejection. One day the revelation of God being a Father came to Jan and for the first time in His life, He received and experienced the paternity of the Heavenly Father. At that moment insecurities, lack of identity, fears, rejection, shame, were all removed and he was healed and set free by the Father's presence, power and love. In spite of being delivered, unhealthy lifestyle practices were still present in Jan’s life. Not having exemplary father figures in his life that modeled fatherhood according to the image and likeness of Christ did not help Jan with his unhealthy and toxic lifestyle practices.
The generational transfer of traditional, cultural, and societal mindsets led Jan down a path of hurt, pain, anger, manipulation, control, intimidation and much more. His practices were fear based both at home and in ministry. These unhealthy practices was what he knew, because, they were what he saw and was told to imitate. In doing this, he was unaware that he had become an unhealthy and toxic Christian man, husband, father and leader.
But, the Lord supernaturally intervened, convicted Jan, showed him his condition, removed ignorance and gave him the knowledge, understanding and language he needed to make the necessary changes that on his own he was not able to make. Through a process of repentance, unlearning what he had learned, relearning healthy, Christ-like practices, Jan was transformed into a new, healthy kingdom man, husband, father and leader.
If Jan had not gained the knowledge and understanding of his not Christ- like behavior and practices, he’d still be hurting his family, friends and people close to him. This experience with Gods transformative power has given Jan a new passion to help Christian men learn how to grow, develop themself and become the Healthy Kingdom Man, husband, father, leader and entrepreneur, they were created to be.
